As I mentioned in the prior post I am pretty much a "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to website development. I have done it all from the ground up, hardware, os, apache/mail/mysql, and finally php programming so when I decided to give consulting full time another shot (last time I got hired on full time and dropped the consulting) the name "PHPJack" seemed extremely fitting.
My previous post may of made it sound like working at BrokerBin was a bad thing when in fact it was great for both my personal growth and my growth as a consultant. When I started working with BrokerBin I was already a minor jack of all trades and had a wide range of exp from ISP support, System Administration, Computer Hardware and finally PHP programming so it was only natural that I ended up being the "defacto" go to tech guy (ok the only tech guy) in the company. When you have a small company that didn't go overboard in funding and spending its unlikely they can hire a separate person for each technical task so its either hired out or someone ends up doing pretty much everything.
I am now hoping I can bring my exp of being a "Jack" to other small companies. It is possible to get a multi-million dollar company off the ground without getting a ton of cash in venture capital or borrowing a insane amount of money, I have seen it done. Part of that is not hiring 20 people you don't really need 40 hours a week right away.
So with that I have revived my consulting company under the name PHPJack, my website is http://www.phpjack.com (I am a programmer not a web designer so its not exactly pretty yet)
The technical stuff on this website will slowly be moved over and this will become more of a personal site with my rants and ravings while PHPJack focuses on the good stuff.
So if you are or know a small company in the Seattle area that needs some technical direction getting off the ground have them look me up.
